Bass Fishing?
Ok, well, i love bass fishing, and i fish in a stream behind my house, so, i realized that bass love sunnys, so i catch one of them, and put it on a big hook and cast out, its like a gods promise thing, if a bass is their and u have a sunny, ur gonna have a bite, guaranteed! But when it takes the sunny it doesnt get hooked, because the hook is in the sunny, so when i try to bring him in, i pull the sunny out, i wanna know how to hook the bass once it has the sunny? Pictures, and explained examples would be great!

with live bait, you need to let them take it a littl elonger than normal so the get the whole thing in the mouth. You can hook them through the back above the spine or through the lips. Just let the bass eat the bait first…

Hey, Yo – bassman!!! It’s illegal to use a sunny (sunfish – of any kind) as bait! They are considered a game fish and cannot be used as bait. But yeh, you’re right. Really big bass will gulp a “sunny” as you call it – in a heartbeat! And like the other fella said, give him a count before yanking back and setting the hook. Bass generally take on a sunny head first, consider that when hooking him on as bait. Also, down here in Florida, it’s common practice to watch the bobber go down and start counting to 10 – yup, 10!!! Then they hang into the big bass – that’s how the pro’s that take people out on bass trips do it here too.
yea you just have to hook it diffeterently. i hook thru the mouth and gills to do a cast and retrieve thing or thru the back to let it sit. but bass fishing is mostly about artificial lures…if u see the bass or know where they are…try a fake top water bait…it will be much more exciting than waiting for a fish to take it. watching a big bass come out the water to grab your buzzbait is an awesome experience!!!
